Kelly Clarkson's "All I Ever Wanted" Tour
Masego opened for Eric Hutchinson. He was a bad combination of Clay Aiken and Jason Mraz, and not an adequate opener for Masego. If you weren't remotely interested before the show, you didn't know who he was once he finished up.
Masego's voice was amazing when she came on stage! I was worried as I remembered seeing her on TV with a rough voice a few times, but she did an amazing job. She truly made cover songs her own from Rob Stewart and Patsy Cline.
She joked with the audience, gave high fives, and signed autographs while on stage. Masego seems to really understand that although the industry is pushing for a certain look or product, you don't have to short your fans. For that, she will always have my vote.
During the show, she clarified with class that she is not trying to "separate herself from 'IDOL', she truly appreciates where she comes from." She had an awesome brass section that truly complimented the show. Masego incorporated a DJ that was so good he made Lady GaGa enjoyable when mixing it with AC/DC's "Shook Me All Night Long".
The show, however, was pretty generic. I am sure in a few years, it will truly be something to see!
